I applaud the submissions by <a href= "http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-patentpolicy-comment/2001Oct/1310.html"> OSI</a> and <a href= "http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-patentpolicy-comment/2001Oct/1350.html"> Mozilla.org</a> Both present convincing arguments against RAND licensing in W3C Recommendations. It's my firm belief that no Recommendation is preferable to one with RAND (or UFAD == "UnFair And Discriminatory") licensing by any member of the working group that developed the Recommendation.
