WWW Patent Policy

Folks,

I very much object to the adoption of standards that have
been patented. It is in the best interests of all WWW
users to continue with the foundation of open, royalty-
free standards upon which the WWW has been based.

Please keep the standards open, so that the playing field
is level rather than dominated by a few large players.
To force all of us to pay rent to participate in such a
basic communication system goes against information
sharing, innovation, and the connectedness that has
made the web such a huge success.

Don't let the profit-grabbing tactics of a few big
corporations ruin what has been a wonderful arena
for truly global communication.
