Dear sirs, The W3C is currently trying to decide whether it is acceptable to incorporate patented technologies in future W3C standards. As a proponent of free and open standards and as an admirer of the excellent work the W3C accomplished so far I'm am strictly opposed to this proposal. Software patents on web standards means destroying the open nature of the web and the web developers community. Please do not go forward with this proposal!
