Dear members of the W3C, The web is a unique medium in that it allows people from all over the world to share ideas with little investment in time and money and it's just starting to take off. We have had to put up with the increasing commercialization of the web and all its usual annoyances like advertisements but this proposal could well mean the end for a lot of its participants: the base. You have won us, the developers, to support your standards recommendations and I think everyone has been very keen and excited about the progress so far. Now please, keep those standards open and free giving everyone the chance to be a part of a living and growing web. Global communication and understanding will profit in the long run. Regards Martin Sammtleben
