I am not writing this to beg you not to implement this hypocritical policy that you've had tucked away and hidden from most of the web development community. If the W3 wishes to destroy itself, that is the W3's decision and no comment will prevent it. However, I'd be willing to bet that if this policy is implemented, 10 years from now the initials "W3C" will be virtually unknown except to those who "once" called themselves members (and most of them may not want to admit it). Here is a question you need to add to your FAQ (I'd like to hear how it gets answered).... - How (specifically) will this benefit the Web Development community?
