RE: W3C Patent Policy: Bad for the W3C, bad for business, bad for users

I agree with Alan, the W3C should do everything possible to ensure no
royalties and patent licensing issues arise from its work and standards.
This seems to be yet another example of taking work (at least partially)
developed by the open community and then charging them for it afterwards.
