Dear Sirs, the W3C sets in the near future the standards for the next generation of communication kinds. This is NOT a new cool part for a motor or a new machine for building a chair. These standards will be the basic for interactions between people in the world wide community. They will be without any alternative. So these standards MUST: - Available for all people on this planet wthout any charge to anyone - Free of any rights (no GPL, no patents) - Open for any person to implement it The job of the W3C is the observation of these three points, and I know: This is a very havy, nerved job. Don't go the easiest way and follow the money focused interests of global operating companies. Think on open source, start ups, small companies and last but not least the upcomming countries in the third world. Sincerely, Thomas Breitkreuz
