www.w3.org pages never completely load

I'm browsing the jigsaw info on www.w3.org with IE 4.0 and the pages
never finish loading.  I looks like all of the text is there but the w3c
logo never loads, the little globe keeps spinning and the browser never
times out.  Is there a reason or workaround.
