I have noticed a need for markup to represent personal names and postal addresses. Any markup scheme for either should be well internationalized. With that in mind, I have started formulating schemes for names and addresses. My question at this point is whether the World Wide Web Consortium has an interest in these projects. While not fundamental to Web architecture, both personal names and postal addresses are or will be in use throughout many documents of many document types. It would be advantageous to avoid duplicated efforts in this area. So, again, the question: is W3C interested in developing markup for personal names and for postal addresses? -- Etan Wexler <mailto:ewexler@stickdog.com>
