(I made this text to be encoded by UTF-8. Better view is certainly with mono-spaced font.) Dear Sirs, Hereby I would like to inform you that I have started migration from previous sincretic date format to a new one. It is a format consisted of several headers. Among them are the followings: Calendar: Century: Year: (Week of the year:) (Day of the year:) Month (of the year): Day of the month: Day of week: Hours: Minutes: Seconds: This more flexible date format, I suppose, also allows versatile astronomical time's counting. You can see a sample at http://cyril.clickhere2.net/translit/LatbyCyr.html ` ┌────────────┐ ┌───────────────────────────┤ Soap block ├────────────────────────────┐ ` └────────────┘ `Astonishing discovery! `Even hundred years have not passed before I have luck in discovering `disharmony in common date notation. Thus, for example, 20th minute `of 5th hour is written as "4:19" (☝ begun with last hour's number) `while 20th day of 5th month is written as "5/20" (☝ begun with `current month's number). `Additional examples of the disharmony: ` 4 hours, 11 minutes, and 4 seconds are written as 4:11:04 `while 4 days, 11 months, and 2004 years are written as 5.12.05 ` 3rd day in 4th month of the year 2005 is written as 2005.04.03 `while 3rd second in 4th minute of 5th hour is written as 04:03:02 ` ┌───────────────────────────┐ └────────────────────┤ The end of the soap block ├────────────────────┘ ` └───────────────────────────┘ ` ┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ ┌─────────┤ References to a previous date's format's issue: ├─────────┐ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ │ │ 1. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0154.html │ │ 2. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0155.html │ │ 3. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0156.html │ │ 4. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0162.html │ │ ("The required hash is too much complication compared to the │ │ ease of current datetime comparison.") │ │ 5. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0171.html │ │ 6. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0172.html │ │ 7. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0173.html │ │ 8. http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2002Nov/0175.html │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ Regards, Cyril, Esq.
