Hello. I try to compose a minimal XHTML doc. I have read this in the Recommendation (REC-xhtml1-20000126) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" ...so go on [refer to pag 7 on pdf file] So I try to view this one with some browsers and have those problems: On: IE 5.5 for Win :have seen the code and non rendered page On: IE 5.0 for Mac :the same of above Not tested with Netscape and Mozilla I have removed the first line of code (XML declaration) and, I think, that it's working. I have two question: 1) It is working corectly without the XML declaration 2) why of his error (if its?)
