Hi, The following is my own opinion and not that of BCNET's nor the University of British Columbia's. If this petition (http://www.bovik.org/devup-petition/tnx.html?endorser=Mike+Bluett&email=mbluett@bc.net&affiliation=Network+Analyst+-+BCNET) is legitimate and accurate, then I support the idea of making this a standard. I am very set against wide open applications, such as those that use HTTP, being made proprietary. The whole idea of the web was to provide access to info and making it viewable no matter what platform you are using. Therefore, if it is HTTP-related it "MUST" be designed to work with all browsers and from all platforms. Any company that goes against this policy is obviously out for themselves and not for the good of all!! Mike Bluett UBCNET/BCNET
