I've converted my site to XHTML. I've tried to use the strict dtd, but since it doesn't support the target attribute, it looks as though I'm stuck with transitional because I have a two pane site. My left side is basically an index, and my right side is the details. I have seen some really hideous uses of frames (as have we all), but short of including the index on every page, frames seems like a relatively simple solution. My question is this... As I was browsing around the w3 site, I noticed that framesets are being phased out. Someone a while back mentioned a way to get the same result using (if I remember correctly) stylesheets and xlink? Does anyone have a quick sample of some method that would give the same behavior I've currently got, but without using frames? Thanks for the help, Nick
