This feature was in HTML 3.0 _ages_ ago in the FIG element. HTML 3.0 is dead, though and FIG is probably going to be replaced by OBJECT. When OBJECT is done, it will have this feature. It cannot be added to IMG the way you suggest because it would violate the rules of SGML, the foundation for HTML. Paul Prescod
