XHTML Modularization 1.1: errors in XML schema drivers for XHTML Basic 1.1 and XHTML 1.1

Dear HTML editors,
Some errors in the XML Schema drivers for XHTML Basic and XHTML 1.1 have been reported on www-html-editor@w3.org and
www-html@w3.org for a long time.

Those two drivers have just been updated in the current "XHTML Modularization 1.1" working draft (5 July 2006), but without
addressing the reported issues:

XHTML 1.1 driver schema (version 1.1 2006/07/05 15:12:17 matthieu):
http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml-modularization-20060705/SCHEMA/xhtml11.xsd

XHTML Basic driver schema (version 1.1 2006/07/05 15:12:15 matthieu):
http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml-modularization-20060705/SCHEMA/xhtml-basic10.xsd

Since there is now a possibility to finally make an update, and since there is a "call for comments", I ask the HTML editors to
consider the following issues:

- The XHTML Basic XML Schema driver still does not allow the <html> tag... Even a simple example such as
[http://www.w3.org/People/mimasa/test/schemas/xhtml-basic-sample.xml] will fail. See
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2006Jun/0029.html] and
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2006May/0009.html].

- The XHTML 1.1 XML Schema driver, in contradiction with the DTD and the specification, still does not allow any reference to
event attributes such as "onmouseover" etc. as it should. See
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2006AprJun/0026.html] and
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html/2006Jun/0029.html] for a proposition of correction, which is also attached to this
e-mail ("xhtml11-model-1.xsd").

- Another minor issue in XHTML 1.1 drivers has been reported, regarding a warning for the schema location of "XHTML data types":
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2006AprJun/0014.html] (the rest of the message is outdated). See
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/xmlschema-dev/2004Jun/0065.html] for the xs:import issue. The attached "xhtml11.xsd"
proposes a correction.

Finally, I do not understand why it is not easier to find the addresses of XML Schema drivers for XHTML 1.1 and XHTML Basic. See
[http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2006AprJun/0015]. In the specification, chapter B.4.2 "Creating a Language
by extending XHTML"
the example given is pointing to XHTML 1.1 but still using outdated schemas (2004/03/17).

Cordially,
Alexandre
