Thank you for the clarification. However I must say I think this
behavior is wrong. I believe it should be:
Field "F" is required when:
Required(F) and
Required(Parent(F)) and
Required(Parent(Parent(F))) and
...
On the other hand I have, in vain, spent the weekend trying to think
of an example where the above behavior is essential.
So maybe it is not needed but I believe a more expressive definition
is better when it comes to user interaction.
Gut feelings are not always to be heeded. It depends upon whose gut
it is ... and what he had for lunch.
