Hello www-font, Working on some woff metadata examples today, It occurred to me that the description element is missing a url attribute. The element is defined as description element An arbitrary text description of the font's design, its history, etc. This element is optional. If present, it must be a child of the metadata element. This element may be localized. History, design, influences etc are all interesting and can get quite long, so it seems reasonable to put a shorter summary in the text child of the description element and have a url attribute (as with several other metadata elements) for further information. I propose therefore the following spec text: attributes url The url for more information about the font design, history, etc. This attribute is optional. The impact on existing implementations should be minimal. The RNG is also easy to edit if we decide to add this attribute. -- Chris Lilley Technical Director, Interaction Domain W3C Graphics Activity Lead, Fonts Activity Lead Co-Chair, W3C Hypertext CG Member, CSS, WebFonts, SVG Working Groups
