I think you know this, but just to be clear, John and Jonathan aren't
proposing that authors normally work with Opentype feature names directly
this way. Their actual proposal extends font-variant with "higher level"
syntax, here:

-moz-font-feature-opentype is just simple experimental syntax that lets us
work on implementation issues. We might want to expose something like it as
an "advanced" feature for authors when the "higher level" syntax doesn't
provide enough control.
