I don't have a strong preference either way but tend to side with more 
is better thus I'm fine with keeping the notifications (and of course if 
volume does become a problem we can discuss changes).

BTW, in the ICYMI category, the public-webapps-github list 
<https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps-github/> gets 
e-mails for all of repos in 
<https://github.com/orgs/w3c/teams/webapps/repositories> plus some other 
repos/projects in the general scope of `open web platform specs` [1].
