Re: ISSUE-123 (feature strings): Rationale for feature strings [DOM3 Events]

Hi Simon,

We've decided to retain the specification's definition of extended feature strings for event types. The existence of an interface named "TextEvent" (on the global as you suggest) does not necessarily indicate the same thing as an implementation which claims support for the DOM L3 Events TextEvents feature. It's important that content be able to determine not only the event interfaces supported but also the defined behavior associated with them.

As such, no change has resulted in the specification from this raised issue. Let us know if you have additional comments/concerns.
