.org sale - bidding process

Hi,

ISOC Board of Trustees member Mike Godwin wrote on twitter:

"The biggest question about how to #SaveDotOrg is this: what is the path
forward that doesn’t slowly (or quickly) starve .ORG to death?" [0]

It's fair for the board to consider the sale of .org.

What was the bidding process? I've looked, and haven't seen many details.
