Humm, you are right, I wasn't aware of this Nabble feature, thanks for sharing. :-) Nevertheless, it seems that either the Nabble feature is buggy or that Gmail has a bug in processing that sort of content. I'd suggest always using plain text messages, as generally recommended [1]. ;-) > Actually, I do see the whole markup, and no blank lines, in the relevant > webpage > > http://old.nabble.com/automatic-replacement%3A-entities-and-applet-stuff-td27294237.html#a27615417 Yup, that way I'm able to see it, although the link for the specific message is slightly different [2]. ;-) > So what happens is, in a nutshell, that amaya moves all of the applet > "parameter" > tags above (outside) the opening "applet" tag. I've tried to reduce the issue and reported bug 9111 [3] to make sure this doesn't get lost. Just CC yourself there, if you want to be informed of updates to it. ;-) > It is similar to the "problem" with the entities: at some > point (perhaps when saving) > amaya takes initiative and "improves" my code. I'd say this is probably unrelated and I still think this particular behavior can be even seen as a feature. That other one is definitely a bug... > Thanks again for your help > > Francesco Thanks to Chaals for the help [4] in clarifying the bug as well. ;-) Hope this helps, Helder [1] http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#formats [2] http://old.nabble.com/automatic-replacement%3A-entities-and-applet-stuff-td27294237.html#a27608702 [3] http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=9111 [4] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-amaya/2010JanMar/0092.html
