Amaya does not display correctly inline span with a float property. It
introduces a line break before the float in the parent text.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Some text, that I call parent, the span
being the child, supposed to go round the following note (1) HERE <span
style="float: right;">(1) Some note supposed to float right</span> and
some more parent text to continue around the floating note.</p>

In this schematic example, Amaya would cut the text after the word HERE,
which is not asked by me, and not by the html or css specifications
either, as far as I know. Furthermore Amaya pretends to justify even the
broken short line finishing with HERE by the full width of the window.

For a real world example, compare
http://www.meeus-d.be/marxisme/philo/cours3.html in Firefox and in Amaya.

(Amaya 10.1-pre5, oct. 17, 2008, under Ubuntu 8.04.)
