Hi,

I am not an expert, but I would say that &epsilon; should be used 
instead of &epsi; because &epsi; seems to be a MathML character entity 
(see http://www.w3.org/TR/MathML2/isogrk3.html) and &epsilon; seems to 
be a XHTML character entity (see 
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/dtds.html#a_dtd_Special_characters).
