Amaya 8.8.5, Windows 98. I am seeing a similar symptom. When certain pages are displayed (Help, About Amaya at W3C, for example), blanks following an HTML end tag and those at the end of a physical line are not displayed in the formatted view. The Source view is correct. My home page (on a local drive) is HTML 4.01 strict. The Help page cited above is HTML 4.01 Transitional. Navigating to any XHTML page, such as the Amaya 'Bugs and Wishlist' page, causes the symptom to vanish, even when I return to the original page. In addition, if I refresh my home page after having accessed an XHTML page in the Help window, my home page is then formatted correctly. Closing Amaya and starting it again causes the symptom to reappear. I speculate that some Amaya value is not initialized until an XHTML page has been accessed. Chris Beall
