The horizontal display would not work for (X)HTML and SVG. The other issue I can see is that it does not accomodate attributes and comments easily. They could be removed from the structure view, but it would then be difficult to edit them. A picture is attached. It shows a new version of the structure view for MathML, still vertical, but more compact than the current one: the content of elements such as mo, mi, mn, etc. is displayed on the same line as the tag. This picture also shows a few attributes and comments, as well as placeholders (empty lines), which allow you to put the cursor at some structure positions that are not easily reachable otherwise. Is there anything equivalent in the horizontal display? Vincent. I think you did not understand what I meant. As you can see, it would be impossible to display regular text or SVG this way. There would be too much text between the tags. > > Cheers, > Wendell > -- > _____________________________________________________________ > Web-based SMS services available at http://www.operamail.com. > From your mailbox to local or overseas cell phones. > > Powered by Outblaze -------------------------------------- Vincent Quint INRIA Rhône-Alpes INRIA ZIRST e-mail: Vincent.Quint@inria.fr 655 avenue de l'Europe Tel.: +33 4 76 61 53 62 Montbonnot Fax: +33 4 76 61 52 07 38334 Saint Ismier Cedex France
