I was reviewing the grid style guide [1] and I think we need some clarifications in the Actionable section. Current text: Enter pressed while focus is on an actionable item will enter Actionable Mode. Focus will remain on the actionable item that has focus. Unless the grid is already in actionable mode, the focus will be on the cell and not on the actionable item within the cell. You first need to enter actionable mode. I propose clarifying that focus is on a cell containing an actionable item . Proposed text: Enter pressed while focus is on a cell containing an actionable item will enter Actionable Mode. Focus will remain on the actionable item that has focus. The same issue exists for the next statement, Optionally, Alphanumeric keys pressed while focus is on an actionable item will enter Actionable Mode. Focus will remain on the actionable item that has focus. I believe this also needs to refer to focus being on a cell containing an actionable item. regards, -becky [1] http://dev.aol.com/dhtml_style_guide#grid Becky Gibson Web Accessibility Architect IBM Emerging Internet Technologies 5 Technology Park Drive Westford, MA 01886 Voice: 978 399-6101; t/l 333-6101 Email: gibsonb@us.ibm.com blog: weba11y.com/blog twitter: http://twitter.com/becka11y
