I have a counter proposal for grid navigation to next editable cell: Control+ENTER key: Moves to the next editable control in the grid and turns on edit mode This would not conflict with tabbing between widgets, but still provide the functionality of fast editing of editable cells in the grid. If the editable grid cell does not use return characters, the gridcell could also use the RETURN key to toggle into and out of edit mode. It sounds like many of the forms are in grid cells are for numeric entry or short strings.
