My strategy with layout panes is to put the container element for each
pane in the tab order via tabindex=0, give it a role of region, and
require a title attribute. Does anyone see a problem with putting each
content pane in the tab order? This will allow people to easily navigate
from section to section. For the time being I am assuming a Firefox 2
implementation and thus no support for live regions. Also, this may be
moot since I don't think that the screen readers support region, yet.
An alternative is to use XHTML roles main and secondary, assuming that
more than one element can be given a role of secondary.
