Here's the first of my submissions: http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=app-accessibility I believe the organization is fairly straight forward -- but there are glaring problems nevertheless. 1.) There are over 400 links to installable packages. Are these some kind of navbar? Seems like they might be (without looking at page source). 2.) Once past those links, there's a pointer to each application Gentoo Linux provides in support of accessibility. Frankly, they're to be commended for being more thorough on this than any other Linux distribution to date. 3.) The "footer" seems fairly straight forward and short. But, is this the place to put a search field? What I can't tell: Unfortunately, I have yet to discern how one can actually download (or examine the internal componants of) one of the referenced rpm packages used by Gentoo. As I write, I'm looking for an rpm .spec file to use as a template for building Java Access Bridge on Fedora. Since both Gentoo and Fedora are rpm based, I should be able to tweak Gentoo's, rather than starting from scratch. But, I can't find it! Also, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what the links for the days of the week are all about (Friday, Thursday, Wednesday, etc). -- Janina Sajka, Chair Accessibility Workgroup Free Standards Group (FSG) janina@freestandards.org Phone: +1 202.494.7040
