Checkpoint 3.8: Unintentional omission of placeholders

Hello,

In the 29 December draft [1], checkpoint 3.2 includes
a "placeholder" requirement (for audio, video, animations).
However, checkpoint 3.8 (images) does not. I think this is
an omission. At the 12 Sep 2000 teleconference [2] we adopted a
proposal [3] that includes placeholders in both 3.2 and 3.8.

Therefore, I will modify checkpoint 3.8 in the next draft to
read:

Allow the user to configure the user agent not
to render images. In this configuration, provide an
option to render a substitute placeholder in
context for each unrendered image. When placeholders are
rendered, allow the user to activate each placeholder
individually and replace it with the original author-supplied
   content.
