Hi Manon, The structure and the schema of a CSV file can be enhanced by implementing CSV on the Web<https://www.w3.org/TR/tabular-data-primer/>. I do think that format is more future proof compared to Excel and provides a better machine readable format because you can add various metadata including the data type of your tabular data by using various vocabulary such as Dublin Core/schema.org... My feeling is that exporting data into Excel format is better than CSV b/c the relationship to headers would be better than CSV. Not sure if anyone can confirm this or provide more insight.
