I don't know if that is actually GDPR compliant, but for it to stand a chance of being legal, they need to make the initial notice very prominent. (In practice this provision is being frustrated by the sheer number of notices one gets. I can no longer afford to customise each site, and often found the customisation form contains huge number of advertisers to individually exclude.)
