Hi WAI IG, Thank you for submitting comments on the first version of the *Web Accessibility Perspectives* pages that explore the impact of accessibility for people with disabilities and the benefits for everyone. We have addressed comments and updated the pages linked from: https://www.w3.org/WAI/perspectives/ Most pages have minor updates including: * Simplifying and clarifying the introduction sections * Editing and adding to the bullets under "Who depends on this feature" and "What are the additional benefits?" *Feedback*: We welcome additional feedback. At the bottom of each page are links to e-mail and GitHub for comments. *We would particularly like to hear how you are using these videos*, for example, in what type of conference presentation, in response to what issues (e.g., "my colleagues didn't understand the additional benefits of captions so I showed them the Video Captions page, and [their response]...") -- as well as how you and others are reacting to the videos and resource pages. We would appreciate getting such feedback to: wai-eo-editors@w3.org &/or Twitter @w3c-wai Thanks in advance for any feedback you provide! *Features*: One of the things we've heard is that some people really appreciate the video player showing the transcript along side the video with the text highlighted. We've also provided the following to facilitate using the videos in presentations and other ways: * YouTube playlist of individual videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhDEeYUfW02QndusXXtQtuMbMYhK7TMBT * Compilation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f31oufqFSM * YouTube playlist of Audio Described Versions: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhDEeYUfW02Qo4r2KlzagxZxhYcZADee- ------- The following is the same as the original announcement. *About the Resource*: This resource introduces 10 web accessibility topics with: * videos * brief descriptions * links to learn more The videos: * relate the benefits of accessibility to everyone in different situations * encourage viewers to learn more about web accessibility Short URI: http://j.mp/WAIperspectives *About W3C*: The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an international consortium that develops Web standards and guidelines designed to ensure long-term growth for the Web. <https://www.w3.org/> *About WAI*: The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) brings together organizations and individuals around the world to make the Web more accessible for people with disabilities and older users. <https://www.w3.org/WAI/> *About EOWG*: The W3C WAI Education and Outreach Working Group (EOWG) develops strategies and resources to promote awareness, understanding, and implementation of web accessibility.
