Call for Review: Digital Publishing WAI-ARIA Module 1.0 Working Draft

Dear WAI Interest Group and Digital Publishing Interest Group Participants,

We invite you to comment on a new Working Draft of Digital Publishing
WAI-ARIA Module 1.0 at:

Digital Publishing WAI-ARIA Module 1.0 extends WAI-ARIA 1.1 to define an
ontology of roles, states, and properties specific to digital
publishing. It facilitates automated processing and accessibility
support by providing semantics that are not included in base languages
such as HTML. It allows authors to convey structural information to
assistive technologies, and to enable semantic navigation, styling, and
interactive features used by readers.

Digital Publishing WAI-ARIA Module 1.0 is part of a suite of
WAI-ARIA-related specifications introduced in the WAI-ARIA Overview at

**For review*:*

This version includes new roles, removed the glossterm and glossdef
roles, changes the prefix for role names from "dpub" to "doc", and
refines the properties for roles previously defined.

Please submit comments by filing an issue in the W3C ARIA GitHub
repository, using the "dpub" label in the issue:
or by sending mail to the publicly-archived e-mail:
by **15 January 2016**

Digital Publishing WAI-ARIA Module is developed through the Digital
Publishing ARIA Task Force, a joint task force of the Accessible Rich
Internet Applications Working Group and the Digital Publishing Interest
Group. Information about the Digital Publishing ARIA Task Force Home
