yes, if language support is not provided foreign fonts...such as japanese chinese hindi thai show as two english characters. Thai has twice the number of letters that english does. Some languages have to be seperately installed although IE6 provides many of them by default. As the Web is a world wide facility it must cater for multiple languages however until automatic translation occurs...or we all learn many many languages like Chaals seems to ..we will be stuck with a measure of incompatibility. I look forward to the day when the web can really be accessible to all wherever they are and however they access it but sadly that day is not yet here. It didn't even look like a language. I think we have a font problem or character set problem with this one. I should have looked at the source. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Harry Woodrow" <harrry@email.com> To: "David Poehlman" <poehlman1@home.com>; "wai-ig list" <w3c-wai-ig@w3.org> Sent: Wednesday, November 07, 2001 9:46 PM Subject: RE: I think this is the kind of bad site someone was looking for: No more inaccessible than many. Of course I do have the advantage I speak Thai but then why are you assuming that everyone speaks English? In fact in this respect the author has added English Navigation so that only small parts need to be translated if needed. chok di krup Harry Woodrow -----Original Message----- From: w3c-wai-ig-request@w3.org [mailto:w3c-wai-ig-request@w3.org]On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Thursday, November 08, 2001 3:22 AM To: wai-ig list Subject: I think this is the kind of bad site someone was looking for: http://www.kafak.com/cgi-bin/index/list.pl Hands-on Technolog(eye)s Touching The Internet http://members.home.com/poehlman1/ mailto:poehlman1@home.com voice: 301.949.7599 --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
