Hello Jonathan Maybe you would like to know about this project: ALDICT - Access of Persons with Learning Disabilities to Information and Communication Technologies http://www2.echo.lu/telematics/disabl/aldict.html The primary service of the Intergoal of ALDICT is to develop a computer programme which enables persons with learning disabilities to communicate via the electronic mail net. A specially adapted e-mail programme will allow the user to "write" and read messages with one of three different symbol systems which greatly enhance the communicative abilities of persons with learning disability. On a central WWW server a translation module for the languages German, French, English and Portuguese will be installed, thus providing for international communication between persons with learning disability and their self-advocacy groups. You can find more information at http://www.ilsmh-ea.be/aldict/aldict.htm Regards Francisco Godinho GUIA/PASIG - Portuguese Accessibility Special Interest Group http://www.acessibilidade.net/index_eng.html -----Original Message----- From: jonathan chetwynd <jonathan@signbrowser.free-online.co.uk> To: Wayne Myers-Education <wayne.myers@bbc.co.uk>; 'WAI Interest Group' <w3c-wai-ig@w3.org>; Anne Pemberton <apembert@crosslink.net> Date: Quarta-feira, 28 de Julho de 1999 14:10 Subject: Re: Two UK Accessibility Articles >thanks > >really its a case of the greater need against the ease of the task. > >I think it was the hat that came back. > >jay@peepo.com > >a www for those learning to read. > >Please send us links to your favourite websites. >Our site www.peepo.com is a drive thru. >When you see a link of interest, click on it. >Move the mouse to slow down. >It is a graphical aid to browsing the www. >We value your comments. > >
