I got this today, at my Claremont Graduate University webmaster address. It's spam, but on the other hand, it's somewhat interesting spam -- I'd never do any business with _these_ people though, because (a) I don't need their services, and (b) I don't do business with spammers. Anyone have any thoughts on this, though? Anyone have dealings with this company? It's always difficult to know how to deal with companies that support one thing I believe in (e.g., accessibility), but seem to use methods I vehemently _don't_ agree with (random emailing of unsolicited email advertisements). (And, of course I worry that by passing this on here, I may be giving spammers greater visibility...oh well...) --Kynn info@betteraccess.com wrote: > > Is your Internet Site legal? > > Is your Internet Site in compliance with the 1992 Americans with > Disabilities Act (ADA) and/or the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 > (Public Law 99-506, Section 508) and/or the Telecommunications > Accessibility Enhancement Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-542)? > > For a guaranteed analysis of your Internet Site accessibility > (fee $100.00) contact http://betteraccess.com > > If you wish to be removed from this mailing list simply reply > to info@betteraccess.com with the word REMOVE in the subject line. > If you would like to know more about increasing the number of > visitors to your site, simply reply to info@betteraccess.com > with the word INFO in the subject or body of the message. > Thank you for your time and consideration Dr. David Udy, > President, Better Access. -- Kynn Bartlett <kynn.bartlett@cgu.edu> Web Communications Manager, Claremont Graduate University
