Apologies for the delay, that email went into the wrong folder.
I like the idea of not needing definitions, but looking at the proposed change to the SC text:
> Information entered by or provided to the user in a process is not required to be re-entered later in the process.
> Exception: When re-entering the information is essential<https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/#dfn-essential>.
Reading that fresh, it seems like there is no alternative, you just can’t ask for the information again.
Perhaps this formulation would achieve the same thing, but match the earlier scope?
-----------------------
Information entered by or provided to the user in a process is either:
· not required again, or
· auto-populated, or
· available for the user to select.
Exception: When re-entering the information is essential.
