My take on the terms Gregg C Vanderheiden greggvan@umd.edu > > What’s the difference between these terms? > · Adaptation When you take something that already exists (an existing product) and change it so that it will work for some person or purpose > · Customisation When you take an existing product — or product design - and change it to fit a person > · Personalisation When you adjust the settings on a product so that they are the way you would like them. Not changing the product but just adjusting it to each person’s preferences.
