Hi All As a native Danish speaker it's not hard to understand the titel "Ways People Browse" but the translated title might be a bit long and complicated. Thanks, Cliff, good to know. Cliff said: Is the problem that it's hard for people whose native language isn't English (or perhaps American English) to understand? Yes, it "sounds wrong" to some people. Also, translate-ability was part of the issue. Since we came up with it on a recent teleconference, we wanted to "sleep on it", that is, take a little time to think more about how it will work in different contexts. If we use it, we might provide some additional guidance to translators on the meaning and tips for translation. ~Shawn On 3/24/2011 4:12 PM, Cliff Tyllick wrote: > Shawn, I think "Ways People Browse" is just fine as a title. > Is the problem that it's hard for people whose native language isn't English (or perhaps American English) to understand? > Cliff > > >>> On 3/24/2011 at 2:03 PM, in message <4D8B956A.50601@w3.org>, Shadi Abou-Zahra <shadi@w3.org> wrote: > Hi Catherine, > > We are discussing the title "Ways People Browse". > > Best, > Shadi > > > On 24.3.2011 19:32, catherine wrote: > > Hi Shawn, > > > > A small clarification please : when you say page title, are you > > referring to "Ways People Browse" or "How People with Disabilities Use the Web" ? > > > > > > Catherine > > -- > Shadi Abou-Zahra - http://www.w3.org/People/shadi/ | > WAI International Program Office Activity Lead | > W3C Evaluation & Repair Tools Working Group Chair | >
