When the images were much more complex (e.g., in
http://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/Drafts/UCD/components-old4 ) the group linked
"building them one part at a time (and showing the old, non-focus
information grayed out.

Now that the image is much simplier, what do you think about just using
one image and not building them. That is, at the begininning, have only
http://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/Drafts/UCD/15-all.png  -- and not
http://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/Drafts/UCD/15-author.png and
http://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/Drafts/UCD/15-user.png -- as Blossom suggests
above.
