Checkpoint: OK A.2.7 For the authoring tool user interface, provide an undo function. [Priority 2] Rationale: OK Authors who have difficulty making fine movements may be prone to making unintended actions. All authors benefit from the ability to easily recover from mistakes. SUCCESS CRITERIA: SC2 and SC3 clarified; Web-based tool note: Changed to properly account for SC2 and SC3. SC1: Actions that modify content must be either reversible with an undo function or include a warning to the author that the action is irreversible. SC2: The author must be able to invoke the undo function multiple times in order to undo a series of reversible authoring actions (i.e. two or more). SC3: The author must be able to REVERSE any series of undos. For Web-Based Interface Components: For client-side text input operations, Web-based authoring tools may rely on the undo functions of the user agent(s) specified in the conformance profile as long as it meets the three success criteria for text input areas. For server-side operations, a server-side undo function is still required. Cheers, Jan
