There once was a proposal for a property called 'text-outline', but we 
haven't worked on it since at least seven years and we're not proposing it 
at the moment. Maybe we will work on it again in the future, but that hasn't 
been decided yet.

W3Schools is not related to W3C and you should be careful with its 
information. Some of it is good and some of it is wrong. In this case it 
does say that 'text-outline' was removed from CSS3, but only in the title of 
the page.

quite reliable. And for implementation information, "Can I use" 
(http://caniuse.com/) and "Web Platform Docs"

The first change is fine. The second should be rewritten so that it does not 
refer to the 'text-outline' property.

No holidays? :-) I had Monday and Tuesday off, because Tuesday (July 14) was 
the French national holiday. That's also why I didn't read your e-mail
