You should not use MS Word, but a basic text editor (Notepad for instance) or a dedicated HTML editor to translate the SOURCE of the HTML document. Using MS Word may cause modifications in the HTML structure of the document, which IS NOT what translating is about. If you're not trained in HTML, open the HTML document in your editor and translate only what is BETWEEN tags but NOT what is WITHIN tags (except title= and alt=). To make myself clear, here is an example :
This is an example of what you can find in the source of the document.
Such sentence, for instance, should be translated as (I'll use French cause I don't speak Spanish but I've upper-cased what I have translated so you can see) :
CECI EST UN EXEMPLE DE CE QUE TU PEUX TROUVER DANS LA SOURCE DU DOCUMENT.
You'll notice that I have not translated what is in the
tag or in the tag, except what is stated as "title" because it may be displayed to the reader and thus needs to be translated. The same goes with "alt" attribute. So to make it short : * Translate everything between tags : <tag>TO BE TRANSLATED</tag> * Do not translate what is within tags :
TO BE TRANSLATED
* Translate "title" and "alt" attributes : <p name"not_to_be_translated" title="PARRAFO 1">TO BE TRANSLATED :
Do not hesitate to ask questions about this. All comments and corrections about my comments are welcome. Patrick
