Hello all, This is to inform you about the spanish translations I've completed of several W3c documents. I announced my intention to translate four of them in June 2003, and there is an additional translation that I didn't announced yet. Also two of them were already completed and published by you (see list's comments below). By the way, I have a new and definitive place to host the translated documents (http://ferguweb.tx.com.ru/w3/) without advertisements nor invalid markup generated by the server, like the previous host I had. There I will publish all of your materials I translate from now, with your permission, of course. Here's the translations's list: 1) English title: Web Standards Switch English URL: http://www.w3.org/QA/2003/03/web-kit.html.en Spanish title: Cambio hacia los Estándares Web Spanish URL: http://ferguweb.tx.com.ru/w3/web-kit.html.es.html Comments: This document translation of mine was already published at http://www.w3.org/QA/2003/03/web-kit.html.es. The only change I've made is the inclussion of a Disclosure Note at the top of the page, as requested in your IPR FAQ http://www.w3.org/Consortium/Legal/IPR-FAQ-20000620.html#translate ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2) English title: Auxiliary Benefits of Accessible Web Design English URL: http://www.w3.org/WAI/bcase/benefits.html Spanish title: Beneficios Auxiliares del Diseño Web Accesible Spanish URL: http://ferguweb.tx.com.ru/w3/benefits-es.html Comments: This document translation of mine was already published at http://www.w3.org/2003/11/benefits-es.html. The only change I've made is the inclussion of a Disclosure Note at the top of the page, as requested in your IPR FAQ http://www.w3.org/Consortium/Legal/IPR-FAQ-20000620.html#translate Additionally, if you wish, you could update the link to this resource in the spanish version of the page "Getting Started: Making a Web Site Accessible" (http://www.w3.org/WAI/gettingstarted/Overview.html.es) as it still points to the english version of the document. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3) English title: My Web site is standard! And yours? English URL: http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/Web-Quality.html Spanish title: ¡Mi sitio Web es estándar! ¿Y el tuyo? Spanish URL: http://ferguweb.tx.com.ru/w3/Web-Quality.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4) English title: Buy standards compliant Web sites English URL: http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/07/WebAgency-Requirements Spanish title: Compra sitios Web que cumplan los estándares Spanish URL: http://ferguweb.tx.com.ru/w3/WebAgency-Requirements.html Comments: The URL [1] for the definition of "feature creep" seems to be broken. I've respected it in the translation, but as a Translator Note I've included a brief text explaining the meaning along with another URL [2] that's fully working at the time of writing this text. [1] http://info.astrian.net/jargon/terms/f/feature_creep.html [2] http://searchcio.techtarget.com/sDefinition/0,,sid19_gci860179,00.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5) English title: Accessibility Features of CSS English URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS-access Spanish title: Características de Accesibilidad de CSS Spanish URL: http://ferguweb.tx.com.ru/w3/CSS-access.htm Comments: I didn't inform my plan to translate this document yet, so this is both an announcement and a completion announcement. :) Note: I had to transform all the relative URLs (e.g. linked stylesheets, W3C logos, or links to other W3 places) into absolute URLs to the w3.org domain for the documents to be properly shown and links work properly.
