There was also the proposal for a new namespace, which I support.

A new namespace also allows existing applications which presume
value-based semantics for inline literals and long range implicit
datatyping to continue to function in a conformant manner, to
M&S while new releases of software can evolve to reflect the
string-based semantics required by the new datatyping model.
