http://ietf.cse.ucsc.edu:8080/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=117 Summary: WHEN_TO_MULTISTATUS_FOR_DELETE_1 Product: WebDAV-RFC2518-bis Version: -07 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: 08. HTTP Methods for Distributed Authoring AssignedTo: joe-bugzilla@cursive.net ReportedBy: elias@cse.ucsc.edu QAContact: w3c-dist-auth@w3.org If a DELETE is issued to a collection, and it fails on all resources contained by the collection, and on the collection itself, a server should report just a single 4xx status code. But, instead the definition of DELETE indicates it should return a multistatus since an error occurred on a resource other than the Request-URI. The language needs to be tweaked so a multistatus is not required in this case.
