http://ietf.cse.ucsc.edu:8080/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=116 Summary: OVERWRITE_DELETE_ALL_TOO_STRONG Product: WebDAV-RFC2518-bis Version: -07 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: 08. HTTP Methods for Distributed Authoring AssignedTo: joe-bugzilla@cursive.net ReportedBy: elias@cse.ucsc.edu QAContact: w3c-dist-auth@w3.org A COPY or a MOVE with Overwrite set to True will perform a DELETE with Depth infinity at the destination of the operation. However, in the same situation, most OS's will perform a merge, rather than a DELETE. It is feared the DELETE is counter to users expectations.
