I'll look, but the SMB scheme is already in use and covers things like RFC1001/1002 NBT semantics, NT Domain authentication, and the "Browse Service" service location protocol. I doubt that a general-purpose 'file' scheme is going to cover those aspects of the protocol. :) Thanks again!
